- Completes work assignments by actively communicating with the Equipment Specialist Maintenance Lead and all parties involved.
- Serves as a main contact point for the 53 Mechanic for ongoing repairs and maintenance for day-to-day maintenance activities. Assists the 53 mechanic with any activities and duties that are assigned to him.
- Serves as a resource for the 53 Mechanic for work quality, site safety, scheduling, and planning for maintenance and rebuild activities.
- Maintains, cleans, and organizes tools required for the job. Helps maintain working inventories and general repair parts and supplies
- Possesses the basic mechanical and technical skills to accomplish the required machine maintenance.
The Other Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years maintenance background.
- Must have the necessary experience, aptitude, and education to perform mechanical duties such as set-up, adjustments, troubleshooting, PM activities, overhaul and make equipment improvements when necessary.
- Must possess basic math skills and verbal and written English language skills, and organizational skills.
- Must be eager and willing to learn new skills and processes and take direction from 53 Mechanic. It is desirable that the incumbent be motivated to obtain needed training and certification needed to perform these tasks, such as welding certification and electrical apprenticeship.
- High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational education preferred.
