Description
  1. Continuous Improvement (50%):
    • Developing, evaluating, documenting, and improving business processes within the warehouse operations.
    • Analyzing, maintaining, and improving organizational performance.
    • Organizing and facilitating project-based endeavors
    • Identifying and resolving operational issues.
    • Enhancing productivity. Reviews product and machine metrics, evaluates to determine efficiency opportunities.
    • Reducing costs and waste.
    • Perform analysis to determine proper product storage placement in the bulk warehouse
    • Responsible for auditing storage practices and procedures, and working with warehouse receiving team to ensure proper processes are being followed
    • Continuously provide inventory analysis and insights
    • Proactively manage on-hand inventories, with emphasis on understanding potential overages, out-of-stocks, date issues or shortages that need attention
    • Work with Accounting Coordinator to fix receiving errors and research discrepancies
    • Assist with warehouse improvement projects
    • Receive glassware and cups into system for POS.
  1. Inventory Control (20%):
    • Direct, and as necessary, develop and evolve all inventory-related processes and procedures
    • Ensure variances are promptly researched/corrections & made following established procedures
    • Responsible for ensuring all bi-annual inventories are scheduled and completed
    • Coordinate suppliers’ audits and inventories required by the brewery
    • Responsible for WMS auditing, and work with team to ensure proper usage of the system
    • Direct the slotting of product into the racks and tower locations in Vertique
    • Ensure daily cycle counts are conducted by Inventory Coordinator
    • Coordinates the return of pallets, CHEP, kegs, and other supplier items
    • Collaborate with accounting personnel to research and adjust discrepancies between physical count and book inventory
    • Assist in the maintenance of VPS software: patterns, package types, build types, etc.
    • Responsible for new SKU set-up, enter dimensions into VIP and VPS
    • Assist in controlling costs relative to overage and damaged product on a daily basis
    • Work with suppliers on storage guidelines, stacking and rotation
    • Responsible for working with brand managers and suppliers for breakage claims
    • Responsible for audit, reconciling inventory balance, and systematically improve inventory controls and accuracy, with the objective of reducing write-offs
    • Breakage is entered into VIP and taken out of inventory for production and receiving
    • Repacked product is put back into inventory
    • Gather information and document any claims. Send any pictures or extra information to the Business Operations Analyst
    • Research load errors to ensure correct processes are being performed
    • Lead and facilitate the employee sales process
  1. Loss Prevention (10%):
    • Partner with safety and/or HR to initiate investigations into potential theft of product
    • Work cross functionally with the warehouse, sales, concessions and delivery on inventory issues and ensure the proper security of product.
    • Work directly with finance and corporate audit when required to remedy inventory issues and prevent loss of merchandise.
    • Perform surprise audits with the delivery and warehouse teams each year. Log discrepancies and work with HR and departmental leadership to hold drivers and operators accountable for correctly counting product
    • Continuously research ways to avoid losing product
    • Use video surveillance to monitor the movement of product throughout the warehouse
    • Actively participate in investigations for missing product
  1. Performance & Talent Management (10%):
    • Responsible for all people management-related processes, including staffing, performance management and discipline, time system management, communications/team meetings, etc. for the assigned team
    • Document coaching conversations, performance or behavioral issues, attendance concerns, etc. after verbally communicating with employees
    • Provide feedback and coaching to individuals on career paths, opportunities within and how they can continue to build capability and skills to achieve their personal goals
  2. Quality Assurance (10%):
    • Understand and follow quality assurance standards to assure proper product rotation
    • Coordinate the proper disposal of all out-of-code product by ensuring inventory has been written off accurately, and the product is destroyed (as per regulatory guidelines)
    • Direct audit process for tracking dates and ensuring proper rotation of product in the storage
  3. Other:
    • Actively promote a safe working environment within areas of responsibility
    • Participate in S & OP, DOI and/or SKU Rationalization meetings
    • Maintains contact with other distributors to ensure awareness on best practices, new tools and techniques related to inventory management
    • Complies, where applicable, with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) laws and regulations along with CDC EHS Policies and Procedures
    • Other duties as assigned

The Other Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field
    • 3-5 years of warehouse and/or inventory control experience required
    • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 165 pounds
    • Ability to quickly learn/use additional computer programs (i.e., Excel), and software including VIP, VPS and web-based applications
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, sales reps and suppliers
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk in a warehouse environment, which includes refrigerated space

Job Posting Total Rewards

Offerings: $81,700.00 - $107,200.00 (posting salary range) + target sales incentives + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
