SALARY: $100,000-$118,750, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Category Manager supporting our Circle K account with a passion for the Beer Industry. This position will work in a team environment with a focus on leading the team in developing insights, identifying opportunities, and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growth to our external retail customers and internal partners. Searching for an individual who takes ownership of their work and always pushes themselves and others to reach higher to achieve more.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, motivate and drive strong engagement with direct reports supporting work streams centered around both consumer analytics and planogram space analytics/design
- Build strong relationship with retailer as trusted Category advisor across all areas of the Beer business by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting actionable solutions
- Effectively communicate, manage and prioritize workload for the team
- Develop impactful category analyses and customize shopper insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources and content from our Center of Excellence
- Synthesize learnings from various sources to create clear and impactful stories in a visually appealing manner
- Develop category strategy recommendations to drive growth based upon identified opportunities
- Develop and utilize pricing tools to identify market opportunities
- Pro-actively identify and communicate market level opportunities utilizing standard weekly dashboarding
- Provide space allocation and assortment recommendations
- Analyze and recommend display and promotional optimization opportunities
- Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in JDA space planning software
- Proficiency in data cleansing
- Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access to manipulate and organize data
- Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint to organize and visualize the story line for presentations
- Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)
- Strong familiarity with shopper panel information data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.)
- Ability to understand information, develop insights and identify opportunities when analyzing large data sets
- Ability to translate findings and recommendations into a concise and effective selling story
- Ability to confidently present insights, opportunities and recommendations to internal or external stakeholders in a persuasive manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in business/marketing
- Previous experience with consumer packed goods sales, marketing, or syndicated research
- Understanding of DSD, 3-tier system, and a strong knowledge of the retail environment
- Strong analytical skills with all types of data, presenting to retail customers, and computer proficiency
- Strong background in category management tools, processes, and business consulting
- Understanding of shopper research and insights, familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures
- Excellent follow-up, communication, presentation, and leadership skills
